Watch Band Link Removal Guide
To ensure your new watch fits comfortably, you can easily adjust the band by removing extra links. We’ve included a free link removal tool in your package to make this process simple and stress-free.
What You’ll Need:
• Your watch
• The free link removal tool (included)
• A soft cloth (to protect your watch)
• Optional: small pliers for pin removal
1. Lay Your Watch Flat
Place your watch face-down on a soft cloth or towel to prevent scratching.
2. Find the Removable Links
Look on the inside of the band. You’ll see small arrows on some links – these indicate the direction in which the pins should be pushed out.
3. Insert the Link Removal Tool
Line up the pointed tip of the tool with the small hole on the side of the link (on the side the arrow points away from).
4. Push the Pin Out
Gently twist the tool to push the pin out in the direction of the arrow. If the pin is tight, you can lightly tap the tool with your fingertip. As the pin slides out, you may use pliers or your fingers to pull it free.
5. Remove the Link
Once the pin is removed from both ends of the link, take the link out.
Repeat this step to remove more links if necessary.
6. Reconnect the Band
Align the loose ends of the band and insert one of the pins back (in the opposite direction of the arrow). Press or gently tap it in until it’s flush with the link.
7. Try It On
Put the watch on and check the fit. If it still feels loose, remove another link. If it’s too tight, you can always add a link back using the same process in reverse.
Tips for Best Results
• For balance, remove links evenly from both sides of the clasp.
• Store any extra links and pins in case you want to adjust it later.
• If you’re unsure, any jeweler can assist.
Maintenance and cleaning
The battery in your quartz watch should be replaced approximately every 2 years by a qualified technician.
Clean the case and strap regularly using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using soap, solvents, or abrasive materials. Dry thoroughly after exposure to moisture.
