The Story

I, the founder of ESMATI was sketching watch designs one evening, frustrated that I couldn’t find a timepiece on the market that truly resonated with me. Nothing felt right - too basic, too complicated. So I started drawing what I wished existed. Something clean, classic, old school - but with a modern twist.

Those sketches were never meant to go anywhere. But curiosity turned into obsession. I found a small watch factory willing to take a chance on my design and ordered a single sample - just for me. When it arrived, it felt like more than a watch. It was exactly what I had envisioned, down to the smallest detail.

Fast forward three months later, the ATOR was born. And with it, ESMATI was officially founded in late 2024.

We are today a small, family-run business based in Oslo, Norway — but we think long-term. With a deep passion for watchmaking and a genuine commitment to having the most satisfied customers, we believe that one day, we’ll stand alongside the greatest brands in the industry.
